Definitions

Percentage of total household contacts (adults and children <5 years) of bacteriologically confirmed pulmonary new and relapse TB cases notified in the reporting year who were started on TPT, among those eligible household contacts during the reporting period. This denominator can be estimated as: Estimated average household size (e_hh_size) multiplied by total number of new and relapse bacteriologically confirmed pulmonary TB cases (new_labconf plus ret_rel_labconf)

Numerator

Number of total household contacts (adults and children <5 years) of bacteriologically confirmed pulmonary new and relapse TB cases notified in the reporting period who were started on TPT. WHO database: newinc_con_prevtx

Denominator

Number of total eligible household contacts (adults and children <5 years) of bacteriologically confirmed pulmonary new and relapse TB cases notified in the reporting period
